Biography

I am Julissa Cruz Gómez, a Dominican doctor who lives and practices in the Netherlands. As a child I showed a special interest in social issues. At fourteen and with other young people I was part of various youth groups in Santo Domingo, my hometown. In 2015 I founded, together with other colleagues in the Netherlands, an association of foreign doctors with the hope and objective of making the registration process as a doctor in the Netherlands more bearable.

In 2017 I fulfilled one of my many dreams: To take a medical mission to the Dominican Republic with the aim of improving the health status of Dominican children! I love the universe, the stars, history, art, and the cello. I fully enjoy reading, writing, traveling, hiking and all those little things in life.
